“Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.” ― Desmond Tutu
The NCCS Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) program engages students at every grade level in community kindness initiatives. Classes take turns visiting Carroll County organizations to demonstrate the school's gratitude for their contributions to the community. Examples of kindness initiatives include “candy bouquets” to local businesses, raking leaves for elderly neighbors, collecting canned goods for Westminster Rescue Mission, and picking up trash at local parks. In 2024, NCCS partnered with the Infinite Love Project to create “Be Kind” signs for our classrooms, our community, and to take out into the world on our Real Life Connection trips.
