Learning outside the classroom!
NCCS students participate in several field trips throughout the year. Experiences outside routine classroom learning are essential for teaching the whole child. Offering a multitude of benefits, our field trips:
solidify a student's understanding of concepts by applying them to real-world situations
- develop a student's social skills through collaborative activities, discussions, and interactions with new people
- encourage curiosity
- inspire a passion for learning
- promote critical thinking
- expose students to diverse cultures, environments, and perspectives
- nurture empathy
Examples of our field trip adventures:

- Gaver Farms (Mount Airy, MD)
