Fee Schedule

2022-2023 School Year

Attendance at a private school involves a financial commitment. North Carroll Community School appreciates the fact that you, as parents, choose to entrust us with your child’s education. The following financial information is provided for our families and prospective families.

North Carroll Community School employs a tuition management company for the collection of tuition (FACTS).

Please note that the payments, for families who are financing tuition, are due on the first or fifteenth day of the month for students in Program Years 1-9. Unpaid balances each month will be assessed a finance charge of 8% after a failed attempt to withdraw. Delinquent accounts of 60 days will result in the student not being admitted into school until such balance is paid in full.

Families with more than one student enrolled in our program will be charged the base tuition fee for the oldest child enrolled. Each additional child in the family will receive a 7% discount, deducted from the base tuition. Please note that all students from a particular family must be enrolled for the entire academic year in order for the sibling discount to apply. Other fees will be charged at the full rate. Families receiving other discounts such as financial aid are not eligible for sibling discounts.

Students needing one on one Orton-Gillingham instruction or Speech and Language Services will incur an additional fee. Please contact the school for additional information.

*Year One (Kindergarten) students must be five years old by September 1, 2022, unless they have successfully completed a screening assessment and both the school and the parents decide it is in the best interest of the student to enroll.

**Statement of Non-Discrimination: North Carroll Community School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sexual orientation, or national and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, and other school-administered programs.

Late Enrollment:  If your child enrolls after August 1, 2022, you may select one of the three payment plans at a prorated rate.

Sibling Discount:  Families who enroll one child at the full tuition rate will receive a 7% discount on any of that child’s siblings who enroll in the school during the same Enrollment.  All students from a particular family must be enrolled for the entire academic year in order for the sibling discount to apply.

Acceptable forms of payment:  NCCS utilizes the FACTS payment option whereby you can elect to have money withdrawn from your checking/savings or credit card (for an additional 2.85% fee) on a predetermined basis in accordance with your desired payment option.  Personal checks or money orders are no longer accepted.  Cash will not be accepted.

Late Payments:  By utilizing the FACTS payment system, you agree to their terms and conditions of any late payments and any late fees or penalties assessed (please see FACTS terms and conditions for precise fees and penalties).  If a child’s account is not made current by the 60th day, the child will not be allowed to attend school or any activities at NCCS.  If a child is unable to attend school due to non-payment, those absences will be considered unexcused.  NCCS is committed to excellence and if a child accumulates too many unexcused absences, the child may be dismissed from NCSS.

North Carroll Community School strives to ensure that all children at NCCS obtain a proper education.  We understand that financial hardships and life circumstances can be both unexpected and sometimes unavoidable.  It is never the child’s fault, and we understand.  Should you need to change your payment option or enrollment of your child, please contact an administrator prior to the scheduled tuition payment; we are willing to work with you.  Any change made to the enrollment contract must be made in writing and signed by all parties to the original Enrollment Contract.

If an enrolled student’s account is not paid in full by June 30th (end of the school year), the student will be removed from the following year’s student registration.  In order for that student to re-enroll, they will have to reapply.

Enrollment/Materials Fee:

Each child is responsible for a $500 enrollment/materials fee.  This fee is non-refundable and due in accordance with the admissions calendar.  This fee reserves the student’s enrollment in NCCS for the following school year for a period of fourteen days until the Enrollment Contract can be signed and received by NCCS.  Should the enrollment/materials fee and Enrollment Contract not be received by NCCS, as specified by this Tuition Policy, the child will not be enrolled in the upcoming school year.

If you desire accommodations for either payment of the Enrollment/Materials Fee or signing the NCCS Enrollment Contract, do not hesitate to contact an Administrator, we are willing to work with you.  Should both the Enrollment/Materials Fee and Contract not be received by the school, the child cannot be enrolled in the upcoming school year.

Early Withdrawal:

Although we understand there are unforeseeable circumstances that may affect a child’s ability to attend NCCS, NCCS has relied upon your child’s/children’s Enrollment Contract in making staffing and materials decisions for the upcoming year.

The Enrollment Contract obligates the parents/guardians (the parties to the Enrollment Contract), to pay the entire tuition of the upcoming school year, without regard to student absence, withdrawal, or dismissal for any reason.  If a student is withdrawn in writing before June 1, 2022, NCCS will forgive or refund 75% of the tuition obligation.  If a student is withdrawn in writing between June 1, 2022, and August 31, 2022, NCCS will forgive or refund 25% of the tuition obligation.  If a student is withdrawn on or after September 1, (of the current enrollment term), the parents/guardians to the Enrollment Contract are not entitled to forgiveness or refund of tuition already paid or owed to NCCS.

As with all things, we understand there are unforeseen circumstances that affect a child’s enrollment.  Should there be a need to withdraw from NCCS, please contact an administrator to see if other financial accommodations can be made.  We may be able to prorate your child’s tuition with their enrollment.  However, should no agreement between the parties be reached, the Administrator’s decision is final.

If a child is asked to leave NCCS due to non-compliance with our disciplinary policy, the entire year’s tuition will be owed.

There will be no refunds on tuition already paid in which the child(ren) was/were in attendance at NCCS.

Requirements:

Fundraising & Volunteering Fee:

The price of tuition does not cover the full cost of a student’s educational experience here at North Carroll Community School.  Thus, there is a $1,000 Fundraising and Volunteering Fee that is passed on to each family.  NCCS asks that families play an active role in volunteering and fundraising in order to offset this fee.

NCCS holds at least three major fundraisers a year, one in the fall, winter, and spring.  In addition, we hold smaller fundraisers throughout the year.  Each family that has a child enrolled in NCCS is expected to be an active participant in our fundraising efforts, whether that be through donating goods or services, obtaining sponsors, or purchasing tickets.  The fundraising efforts of each family will be deducted from their $1,000 Fundraising and Volunteering Fee.

Our school is founded on the premise that it takes the participation of the school, the community, and the families of our students in order to give our children the best possible educational experience available.  Additionally, we ask that each family donate a portion of their time back to the school.  It not only helps financially but helps further strengthens the educational community here at NCCS.  Guidelines on the types of activities that you can do can be found in the information provided to you at the Back to School Parent Meeting.  We also require each family to keep track of their volunteering efforts through FACTS in the Family Portal.  For every hour that a family donates back to NCCS, $20.00 will be deducted from the Fundraising and Volunteer Fee.

Should the total amount deducted from the Fundraising and Volunteer Fee through fundraising and volunteering not fully eliminate the $1,000 balance in its entirety, the difference will be invoiced to the family’s account and due no later than 6/30/23.

**Statement of Non-Discrimination: North Carroll Community School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, and other school-administered programs.
