Instilling a love of learning
The NCCS Interest Learning program includes four-week sessions of one-hour classes that are taught by NCCS teachers and community members.
We have three Interest Learning sessions throughout the school year. We welcome parents, grandparents, and other adult family members to teach a class.
This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn new skills and for teachers and community members to share their passion with the students of NCCS.
Some previous topics taught by our members of our extended school community include:
- cooking
- carpentry
- yoga
- scrapbooking
- coding
Classes are open to all students of NCCS or a particular age group. Students sign up for the class that is most interesting to them! We run the program 3 times during the school year.
